The Wolkensteiner Zughotel, a railway attraction of its own, offers accommodation in original first- and second-class sleeping compartments. In addition, there are several unique holiday train apartments. The Train Hotel is located at the railway station, in a pleasant area below the Wolkenstein castle. Two-berth first-class compartments have bathrooms with showers that are shared by adjacent cabins. And second-class compartments have a washbasin, with shower and toilets at the end of the car. Dusche und WC sind auf dem Gang. The Zughotel’s restaurant serves traditional German food that is outstanding. Our museum decorated with much love can be rented for events for up to 35 people. In addition, caravan owners can rent spaces alongside the railway tracks.

Location
You will find the Zughotel in the romantic Zschopau valley, directly on the B 101 at Wolkenstein railway station between Annaberg-Buchholz and Freiberg.

Arrival by bus & train
The hotel can be easily reached by train via Wolkenstein station, which is just a few steps away on the Chemnitz - Annaberg-Buchholz - Cranzahl - Chomutov railway line (KBS 517). There is also the option of travelling from Dresden or Annaberg-Buchholz on the T-400 bus line, which runs four times a day. This stops at the bus stop Wolkenstein, Bahnhof / B 101 in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Information on train, tram and bus times can be found online at Verkehrsverbund Mittelsachsen (VMS).
